If you are trying to make money from blogging or some other online venture there are certain things you must do if you are not to fail: you must get visitors and you must rank in the search engines. You can achieve both of these goals by paying for visitors at the search engines via pay per click or you can get visitors for free using article marketing.
The first thing you should do is research your article marketing subject. There are several excellent keyword tools on the market to help you choose which keyword phrases will bring you visitors but also you need to make sure there is not too much competition as well or you will not get good rankings at the search engines. Once you have chosen your keyword phrases you will want to use it in your articles title, a few times at least in the first paragraph, a couple of times in the body and once again at the end for optimum results.
Keep your article marketing real. In other words write it for people, not Google. Yes you can help it rank well by research and keyword tools but it’s no good being number 1 in Google if no one reads the article. Keep it simple and to the point. Use bullets as they are easier to read and get the point over better.
Once completed, read it several times and make sure it is both grammatically correct and that you have your keyword phrases in the right places. Once you have checked it, check it again, several times. If something doesn’t quite read correctly, write it again and remember while you may be an expert on the subject, the reader is not.
Your final paragraph in your article is the most important {part-section} and many who rely on article marketing miss the important point completely. Your article gives the reader info that they have looked for but now you want them to get yet more information by clicking thru your site. Make sure you make it clear the benefits of clicking your link and visiting your site. Simply asking for the click does not work any more. Tell them exactly why they should and what they can expect to find: a a much more thorough look at the topic, a discussion on the topic etc.
Finally be particular where you submit your articles and it makes a huge difference if you rewrite it every time you submit it to a directory or blog feeder. I would give the first version to ezinearticles.com and wait for them to accept it before submitting it to the other directories. This is because ezinearticles are the most popular so get you most visitors but they won’t articles that have already been published elsewhere.
Article marketing is still the easiest way of promoting a business online without spending big money on Pay Per Click. Just one article each day will result in 100 articles on perhaps 1000’s of blogs in just 3 months time all with links promoting your business.

It’s been about a week since the debut of Article Marketing Automation and I must say, I’m impressed at this service in the early going.
The super SEO team over at PLRPro, Marc Lindsay and Daniel Turner have launched Article Marketing Automation as their new service (f.ree and paid) aimed at helping blog owners with their article marketing.
What this service does is essentially drips related content (that you choose) in sporadic intervals into your blog for your dominating niche. As a f.ree member, you can open an account and add your blog into the network to accept these articles. You’ve read the last statement correctly. You can actually sign up to ArticleMarketingAutomation.com at no obligation and include your blog instantly.
To add your blog into their network is literally child’s play.
- you log into your blog and register a new user as an Author in your settings. Author is the best option to choose as you don’t want to give anyone else Administrator access to your blog for security/tampering reasons
- in the AMA interface, enter the category of your blog, URL, the user login credentials you created as Author in your blog, click Add and you’re done
You can either choose to approve every article that is queued for your blog or have them automatically accepted for publication. I choose auto-approve option, as I have quite a few blogs of mine setup in the network, and manually accepting every article that comes along can be an impossible task after a while.
