You Can Write a Good Article

October 1st, 2008 at 07:48pm Under Marketing

We are all aware the raw power and efficiency of online marketing through article publication.  I’d even claim without blinking that article marketing is the most powerful and cost-effective internet advertising technique that has been invented since the creation of the World Wide Web.

The fact minus the fluff, if you’re operating an online venture, you have to resort to marketing with articles.

However, one of the most common questions I receive is this: how can I prepare a good article?

This reveals that even if most online entrepreneurs realize that they have to pursue article marketing, not everyone is capable enough to come up with an internet-ready piece of informative work.

Therefore, I have prepared some simple guidelines on how you can craft the best kind of good article for online advertising purposes.

  1. Know the subject you want to discuss with your article.

  2. Don’t attempt to write about a broad subject.  Filter it down to a more specific subject that people will be fascinated with.  By way of example, don’t write about the broad topic of “dogs.”  Find a sub-topic that will tickle the fancies of the market you will be targeting.  Usually, this sub-topic pertains to a specific demand, like “dog training” for dog owners who are having problems with their unruly pets, or “dog grooming” for allergic owners who can’t live with the smell of their dirty canine pups.  You have to unearth a sub-topic that will make people take notice.  This is critical.  A lot of articles fail because they don’t tackle a more particular subject.
  3. Because the sub-topic should indicate a need, your article must be able to share a solution.  But, depending on the usage of your article, the answer you will discuss will vary.  To illustrate, if you’re going to use the article to pre-sell a product, then hold back on the answer you will provide.  Your aim, in such a scenario, is to provide the impression that you know what you’re talking about, and entice your readers to check out what you have to offer.  Keep this in mind throughout the writing process.
  4. Create a catchy grabbing title that is dumbed down but exciting.  Internet users will visit your article if they will be hooked by its title.  If not, no one will view what you have prepared.
  5. Do not forget that each article has 3 basic components: the introduction, the body, and the ending.  The opening will state to your audience what your work is all about.  You can inform them of a shocking fact, a gut-wrenching statistic, or a witty analogy to jerk your readers into realizing that yes, the author is the real deal.  The body will explore the information you want to convey, of course.  And the ending will summarize the problem, the provided solution, as well as deliver some calls to action (i.e. click my link) if applicable.
  6. How long should your article be? I’d say that three hundred to seven hundred and fifty words would be fantastic!

These are just some easy tips for article writing.  It is not hard to write a good article all it takes is some planning and some thought.  With practice you will find it gets a lot quicker.  For more advice on writing a good article and additional ways you can increase your website traffic take a look at Marketeermum.

Bum Marketing In A Nutshell

September 24th, 2008 at 12:45am Under Marketing

A lot of internet capitalists and enterprising webmasters understand the importance of article marketing

Think of it this way: once an article is forwarded to an article listing, it can get picked up by numerous online and offline distributors.  And because such writing piece cannot be re-issued without including the additional resource box, you’d be able to reveal your URL to a lot of people.

But here’s the thing: article marketing is an obligation.  You will have to write and tender no less than 4 pieces of writing every week just to be competitive.

But what if you don’t have the time to  write and submit articles that often?

Is there an easier way to carry out things?

You’re lucky!  There is truly a pretty fresh means that swears to put your website in the number one page of SERPs just by submitting one article – correct, only ONE piece of writing – to one, two or three composition listings.

This method is called Bum Marketing, and it was conceptualized by an innovative online marketer named Travis Sago.  When it was first issued towards the last part of 2006, it made quite an impact in the arena of eCommerce, and for best grounds at that.

So what is Bum Marketing and how, precisely, does it work?

Bum Marketing begins with the selection of the appropriate keywords.  Nothing hot you might say?  Ponder once more.  We’re not just searching for any keywords.  We’re hunting  for an expression that persons  actually use to search for information on the internet, where such expression dominates a lot of explorations but is offered by only a number of websites.

For instance, you have picked the issue “dog training.”  The theme commands thousands upon thousands of explorations everyday.  However, the exact keywords of “dog training” carries millions o web sites in the search engines.

The theme is very broad.  If you use the keywords as they are, you won’t be able to obtain numerous guests for your website.

The remedy?  You have to reduce it.

“How to train your dog to get the newspaper,” the exact key phrase, fetches a mere 300,000 web pages.  This figure is simple to dominate!

The next step you have to do is to write a piece of writing that will consist the key words above.  The main words should show at least 3 times for each 100 words of text.  A 250 to 1,000 word article will be enough.
